Jerry Walter Poiles

Jerry Walter Poiles, age 57, of Dahlonega, GA died Tuesday, May 20, 2014.

Mr. Poiles lived in Dahlonega, GA for 17 years after moving here from Clearwater, Florida. He had worked as a mason, was a musician and played with the praise band, Yield, at Dahlonega Baptist Church, where he was a member. Along with his love for music, Jerry enjoyed coaching Little League baseball in Dunedin, FL and Lumpkin County.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Terrie Poiles; parents, Chuck and Jane Poiles, Clearwater, FL; son and girlfriend, Jason Poiles and Jessica Barngrover, Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Christy Poiles, Dawsonville, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Ruth Poiles, Los Lunas, NM, David and Heather Poiles, Lynchburg, VA; sister, Nancy Poiles, St. Petersburg, FL; and granddaughters, Maevin Lee and Zoey Jane, of Dahlonega, GA. Many lifelong friends and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Dahlonega Baptist Church in Dahlonega.

Rev. Bill Hutcheson will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Dahlonega Baptist Church in Dahlonega, GA on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 12:30 PM until time of service.
