Christa Joy Joyce, age 28, of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Stephens County, on April 4, 1986, she was a daughter of Bruce Joyce and Carolyn Webb Joyce of Clarkesville. Miss Joyce was a 2004 graduate of Habersham Central High School and proudly served her country in the United States Air Force. She was a member of New and Living Way Church and enjoyed shopping, cooking, and time with her family, friends, and especially her beloved Malshi, Ellsie Mae. Christa was an outgoing, creative person who was quick with her wit and her selfless actions.
In addition to her parents, survivors include, sister and brother-in-law, Leanne and Warren Masten of Clarkesville; brothers, Greg Martin of Habersham County and Kelly Martin of Clarkesville; nieces and nephews, Zach Martin, Austin and Alexis Yearwood, Keely Martin, Amy and Seth Masten, Emily and Jordan Linder, Chantley Funk and Hannah Joyce; boyfriend, Chris Ramsey of Clarkesville; numerous aunts, uncles, other family and friends.
Funeral services are 3:00 pm Sunday, May 25, 2014 at The Torch Worship Center with Pastor Mike Franklin and Pastor Mike Garroutte officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery with full military honors will be provided by the Georgia National Guard, Rabun County DAV Chapter #15, Habersham County American Legion Post #84, and the Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
