Gilbert Wayne Davidson

Gilbert Wayne Davidson, age 67 of Baldwin, formerly of Buford, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Habersham Home East following an extended illness.

Born in Jackson County, Alabama on September 30, 1946, he was the son of the late Chalmer Leo and Opal Lee Simpson Davidson. Mr. Davidson worked in the construction industry for many years and was a member of the Habersham Church of Christ.

Survivors include his children, Chalmer Davidson, Joseph Davidson, James Davidson, all of Oakwood, GA; Leila Puckett, Flowery Branch, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Thomason (Ted), Lawrenceville, GA; Donna Wylie (Ken), sister, Patty Bruce, all of Alto, GA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews, Travis Thomason, Loganville, GA; Chris Thomason, Winder, GA; and Michael Wylie, Alto, GA.

Mr. Davidson's wishes were to be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Habersham Church of Christ, 326 Double Bridge Connector, Mt. Airy, Georgia 30563.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
