Louise T. Coggins

Mrs. Louise T. Coggins, age 70, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan Doolittle, mother, Kathleen Cash Hutchins, and father, George Calvin Tanner. She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Willie L. Coggins, Flowery Branch, GA; children, Amy and Thomas Doolittle, Cleveland, TN and Kevin and Lora Coggins, Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Heather and Joshua Braden, Louisville, KY, Hilary and Jonathan Moots, Chesapeake, VA, Bethany Doolittle, Cleveland, TN, Kyle Coggins, Flowery Branch, GA and Will Coggins, Flowery Branch, GA; two great grandchildren, Hannah Braden, Louisville, KY and Audri Braden, Louisville, KY; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Laura and Walter Bailey, Buford, GA and Linda and Leon Coggins, Buford, GA and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Mrs. Coggins was born February 21, 1944 in Gainesville, GA. She attended South Hall High School and graduated from Gainesville Junior College with an associate degree. She was an administrative assistant with Poly One when she retired. She was a member of Buford Church of God where she taught Sunday School, was an elder of the church, a chaplain, a member of the Prime Timers Senior Adults, Wisdom Club, Red Hat Society and Homemaker's Club.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Buford Church of God with Pastor Joey Grizzle and Pastor Edward Davenport officiating. Honorary escorts will be members of the Red Hat Society and Homemaker's Club. The family will have a private interment at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimers Association in memory of Louise Coggins.
