Patrice Kenyatta Jones Storms

Patrice Kenyatta Jones Storms, 43 years of age, of Alpharetta, Georgia, has gone to be with the Lord, on Sunday, the 27th day of April, in the year of 2014.
Patrice was born in Baltimore, Maryland, December 11th, 1970 to Richard and Angela Jones. Although Patrice was born in Maryland, she spent her formative years in Staten Island, New York. She attended P.S. 14, I.S. 49 and graduated from Port Richmond HS in 1988. While on Staten Island she was a devoted member of Christian Pentecostal Church and First Central Baptist Church. While in Georgia, she was a current and active member of Free Chapel, in Gainesville, Georgia. Patrice was married to her high school sweetheart Rodney E. Storms, JD on July 14th, 1989.

Patrice had a number of passions such as modeling, writing poems, and traveling, but Patrice's strongest passion was being a loving, devoted and highly involved wife and mother. Countless times she put her career on hold to relocate due to her spouse's military obligations. In addition she spent quality time with her children ensuring a smooth transition with each military relocation. She played a major role in their academic development, and their extracurricular activities such as sports and music, while leading and developing their spiritual character.

As the spouse of an Airman in the USAF, Patrice has lived, worked and continued her education at San Antonio College, George Mason University, and was scheduled to Georgia State University before becoming ill. Patrice has worked in the Fashion District in NYC for After Dark, the USAF Military Finance Department Bolling Air Force Base, the Human Resources Department for the Virginia Department of Transportation, and in the Human Resources Department of George Mason University.

Patrice is survived by her husband Rodney E. Storms, her three children Brandyn Marshall; Stephanie Paige, and Kenyatta Patrice Storms. In addition to her husband and children, she was survived by her mother Angela Jones, father Richard T. Jones and step-mother Ines Jones, and her siblings Cherise Hudson, Richard T. Jones Jr., Sheila Chadwick, La 'Tanya Jones, and Quetta Parker. She is also survived by her mother in-law Vivian Storms-Harris, brother in-laws Sidney and Steven Storms, uncle Robert Jones and aunt La' Thea Jackson, two great aunts Lauretta Lee and Romaine Neal and other close relatives and friends.
Patrice's viewing will be held Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040. The home going service will also be held at McDonald & Son Funeral Home Sunday, May 4th, 2014 from 1:00pm
