Arlene Howington Puckett

Mrs. Arlene Howington Puckett, age 83, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ezmal Puckett; parents, Z. G. and Mary Howington; sisters, Edith and Bud Brown, Alver Minkwitz, and Bobbie and Howard Brackett. She is survived by her children, Belinda and Milton Smith, Snellville, GA and Jeff and Rhonda Puckett, Sugar Hill, GA; six grandchildren, Charlie Puckett Perry and husband Nelson, Traci Smith, Scott and Candice Smith, Tommy and Barbara Puckett, Brian Krause and Haley Krause; four great grandchildren, Tiffany Perry, Davis Smith, Billy Puckett and Simon Smith; sister, Claudia and Oren Stephens, Cumming, GA; brothers-in-law, Walter and Donna Jean Puckett, Buford, GA and Al Minkwitz, Long Island, NY; sister-in-law, Carrie Mae Puckett, Gainesville, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Puckett was born May 2, 1930 in Sugar Hill, GA. She was a 1948 graduate of Sugar Hill School. She was retired from Lovable Company in Buford, GA. She also worked for Sears Roebuck and Georgia Boot Company for many years. She was a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church since 1947. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Sugar Hill Baptist Church cemetery, Sugar Hill, GA.
