Scot Earlston Rogers, 68, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away suddenly on Saturday April 26th, 2014.
Scot was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on November 19, 1945 and was the loving son of Mr. Lyman E. and Loretta Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ms. Landa Rogers of Ocala, Florida.
Scot is survived by his soul mate and wife of 47 years, Nancy of Gainesville, Georgia and two sons Eric Todd and fiancé Debbie Tyler of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Christopher Trent of Jupiter, Florida. Scot is also survived by his Brother Steve and wife Cindy of Reddick, Florida along with niece and nephew Jennie and Adam also in Florida. Brother in law Donald Manthei and wife Mary from Monks Corner, South Carolina and his faithful companion Gauge, his Black Labrador Retriever.
Scot attended High School in Reddick, Florida and shortly after joined the Air Force stationed at Patrick Air Force Base in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Following his service he joined his father in the family business in Sporting Goods and Hardware sales with Rogers-Sharpe Associates, Inc. Following his father's retirement Scot took over the family business, which became Rogers Southeast Associates along with Brother Steve and in 1993 was proudly joined by his youngest son Trent, the third generation in the industry in which Scot took such pride.
His business in the fishing industry was also a passion. The water and angling pursuits was one of his greatest joys and sharing that with others was his passion for over 46 years.

To honor Scot's wishes there will be a private graveside service in Reddick, Florida.
