Judy Smith Catron

Judy "Willowheart" Smith Catron of Buford, GA died peacefully at her home on April 27, 2014 after a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer.
Judy was born in Chattanooga, TN in 1939 and was the daughter of Earl F. Smith and Vera Turner Smith. She moved to Atlanta in 1956 and graduated from William A. Bass High School in 1957. She enjoyed a successful career with Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Regional Sales Representative and achieved top recognition in the elite Liberty Leaders group.
Judy was actively involved in her community and various social groups focusing on her spirituality and helping others. She enjoyed being an active member of Souls Journey Group, The Red Hat Society and Buford Baptist's Silvertones.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Catron, Jr., daughters Kathy Madigan and Rhonda Winn, sister, Linda Faye Childs and her extended family of four daughters and two sons, Tammy Cunningham, Melanie Tyler, Lori Johnson, Patti Goga, Bob Catron, III and Brady Catron. Judy leaves 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A Service Celebrating Judy's life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 29th with visitation 1 hour prior at Flanigan Funeral Home located at 4400 South Lee Street, Buford, GA with Rev. Wayne Johnson and Rev. Martha Hicks officiating.
In the twinkle of an eye, Judy was called Home and has been made Anew. We reluctantly say goodbye, as she will be dearly missed.
