Thomas Fingal Nicolson

Thomas Fingal Nicolson, 86, of Cumming, Georgia died on April 23, 2014 at Northside Hospital Forsyth. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, he was the son of the late Thomas and Jessie Nicolson.
Thomas was a graduate of Royal Roads Maritime School and attended the University of Washington. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired as a Captain in the United States Merchant Marine. He also played professional hockey in Canada.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne Nicolson of Cumming, GA; children, Michael Campbell Nicolson of Chicago, Illinois and Anne Marie (Edward James) Maloney of Arlington Heights, Illinois; and much-loved grandchildren, Kate, Lily and Claire Maloney.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 27 from 5:00
