Thelma Mae Tumlin

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday April 25, 2014 in Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Thelma Mae Tumlin, 91, of Gainesville. The Rev. Lamar Purcell will officiate. Interment will be in TimberRidge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Tumlin passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

Mrs. Tumlin was born in Hall County to the late Jermiah Thomas and Agnes Bell Bolding Hawkins. A homemaker, she was a member of Bethany Baptist Church for 55 years, Mrs. Tumlin was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Wilson Allison in 1956, Donald Adron Tumlin in 1965 and a brother, Horace Decatur Hawkins.

Survivors include, son, Jerry Carl Allison, Gainesville; daughters and sons in law, Janice and Harold Ferguson, McDonough, Donna and Mike West, Jefferson, Rhonda and Ted LaPointe, Flowery Branch; brother and sister in law, Robert Eugene and Lynda Hawkins, Gainesville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
