Louis Freddie Mason,

Mr. Louis Freddie Mason, age 75, of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at his residence, following an extended illness.



Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2014 from the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home.



Mr. Mason was born September 30, 1938 to the late Lewis Mason and Marie Billings Matheson in Martinsville, Virginia. He had been a member of County Line Christian Church in Martinsville, Virginia; served in the Air Force and had been a Truck Driver for Simpson Trucking. Mr. Mason was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas G. Mason.



Survivors include: sons, James Cecil Mason of Axton, Virginia and Jay Richardson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; 1 grandchild; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Wayne Mason of Gainesville; sister, Linda M. Butler of Flowery Branch; and several nieces & nephews.
