John Wesley Carter

John Wesley Carter, age 50 of 82 Brantleyville Drive, Maylene, Alabama passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his residence.

A son of the late Bernice P. and Bertie Bell Stowe Carter, he was born February 17, 1964 in Bessemer, Alabama having lived all his life in Toccoa and Alabama. He was employed with Carter Septic Tank Company in Maylene, a member of Hunter's Creek Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge #309. He loved being with his family.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Becky Schenck Carter; two daughters and son-in-law, Jannah and Austin Canup of Martin, Georgia and Nikki McCroskey of Eastanollee, Georgia; three sons, Ethan McCroskey of Maylene, Alabama, Justin Collins and Jordan Collins both of Carnesville, Georgia; two brothers and sisters-in- employed with Carter Septic Tank Company in Maylene, a member of Hunter's Creek Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge #309. He loved being with his family.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 26, 11 O'clock AM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Craig Brown officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Ethan McCroskey, Alex Saylors, K.J. Fruster, Mark Henderson, Justin Collins, Jordan Collins and Sean Moffett.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 PM to 8 PM.
