James Edward Walker

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. James Edward Walker, age 62 of Cleveland. Mr. Walker passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 26, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sammy Reed and Rev. Robert Highsmith officiating. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.

James was born in Ocilla, Georgia to the late Lonnie Walker and Alice Lindsey Walker. He spent several years in Orlando, Florida before moving to White County in 1989, where he served as Maintenance Director at Friendship Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland and was a member of Harvestime Worship Center.

James will always be remembered for his smile and his kindness to those around him.
He is survived by his sons, Allen Walker and Joseph Walker both of Cleveland, James Walker of Apopka, FL; daughters, Anna Walker and Sandra Walker both of Cleveland and Abigail Walker of Murrayville; brother, Robert Walker of Cleveland and sisters, Sally Thomas and Frances Walker both of Lula and Elsie Torrence of Douglas, GA. James was also survived by his 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 9 pm.
