Donnie Ray Taylor

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Donnie Ray Taylor, age 58, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

Mr. Taylor was born in Atlanta, Georgia a son of the late Mr. Albert Taylor and Mrs. Catherine Station Taylor of Winder, Georgia. Mr. Taylor was a plumber by trade, in which he was self-employed. Mr. Taylor was the general contractor during the construction of the new Peoples Baptist Church in Jefferson, a task he thoroughly enjoyed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday April 25, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Peoples Baptist Church 900 Doster Road Jefferson, Georgia 30549, with Brother John Briscoe and Pastor Albert Whitlock officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 1:30P.M. and then after the service at the church.

Survivors include his wife of more than 30 years, Elaine Taylor, Jefferson, mother, Catherine Station Taylor, Winder, daughters, Mandy (Jeff) Grooms, Nicholson, Brandy Thomas, Jefferson, son, John Taylor, Jefferson, sisters, Cindy McKeeham, Winder, Kathy Wilson, Winder, brothers, Christopher Taylor, Winder, Steve Taylor, Winder, grandchildren, Katelyn Taylor, Ashleigh Grooms, Austin William Thomas, Faith Danielle Grooms, Fredrick Johnathan Taylor Jr., Logan Ray Thomas, Jacob Alan Taylor, Kaleigh Lyn Taylor and a number of other relatives.

Flowers are omitted and memorials are asked to be made to Peoples Baptist Church, In Memory of Donnie Taylor, 900 Doster Road Jefferson, Georgia, 30549
