Jackie Garrett

Mr. Jackie Garrett, age 65, of Dahlonega, GA died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Mr. Garrett was born April 22, 1948 and was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and was of the Baptist faith.

Jackie was the son of the late Floyd Garrett and Bertha Cain Garrett and was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Garrett.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mearle Wetherford, Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Crystal Garrett, Gainesville,

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mearle Wetherford, Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Crystal Garrett, Gainesville, GA, Greg Garrett, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Wayne and Emily Garrett, Cleveland, GA, Richard Garrett, Cleveland, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dearl Helton, Dahlonega, GA, Doris and Edward Winkler, Cleveland, GA, Bernice and Larry Collins, Gainesville, GA, Rachel and Glen Foster, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Joshua Garrett, Julian Garrett, Remington Garrett and Haley Wetherford. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Jackie are scheduled for 1 PM Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Bernice Collins will officiate.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega on Sunday April 20, 2014 from 6 PM until 9 PM and Monday April 21, 2014 until time of service.
