Robert Roger Oliver

Mr. Robert Roger Oliver, age 90, of Lula passed away Friday, April 11, 2014. Mr. Oliver was born in Hall County on July 13, 1923 to Robert Arnold Oliver and Bessie Rogers Oliver. He served his country with honor in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Oliver was a farmer and a member of Calvary Cross Baptist Church.

He proceeded in death by his parents as well as a son James Michael Oliver. Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife, Irene Pittman Oliver; sons, Jeff and Cathy Oliver; Jack and Shelia Oliver; daughter, Nancy and Roger Suggs; June and Darrell Fletcher; sisters, Peggy Oliver, Joyce Forester, Mable Martin, Evelyn Ingram, and Wynell Hulsey; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great children.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Orr officiating. Interment will be held at Calvary Cross Baptist Church Cemetery, with military honors from the White County Honor Guard.
