Hubert Franklin 'Junior' Turner

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday April 14, 2014 in Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Hubert Franklin "Junior" Turner, 80, of Gainesville. The Rev. Willard Fuller and Rev. Mike Grizzle will officiate. Interment will be in Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Turner passed away Friday, April 11, 2014.

Mr. Turner was born in White County to the late Hubert Franklin Turner, Sr. and Fannie Mae Albertson Turner. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his wife, Syble Evans Turner; daughter, Nancy Marie Knight; son-in-law, David Adams; six sisters and one brother.

Survivors include daughter, Joyce Adams, Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Terry and Doug Standridge, Clermont; son and daughter in law, Etna and Beverly Turner, Cleveland; sisters, Lela Norrell and Lena Mae Abernathy, both of Gainesville; brother, Stanley Turner, Gainesville; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
