Bonnie Boyd Underwood age 90 of Murrayville, Ga. passed away Wednesday April 9, 2014 at the N.E. Ga. Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled at 2 PM Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Stone, Rev. Robert Nix and Rev. Jason Buffington officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 PM on Friday, April 11, 2014 and also on the day of the service from 11AM to 1PM. Flowers are being accepted, but In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to your favorite charity or to Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Wayne Underwood, 2054 Claude Parks Rd. Murrayville, Ga. 30564.

Mrs. Underwood was the longest living member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. She graduated from Lumpkin County High School and had worked for N.E. Ga. Medical Center and also for Dr. Jennings dental practice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Underwood, a son, Ronald Underwood and her parents, Claude and Ora Parks.

Survivors include her sons and daughters in law, Wayne and Linda Underwood of Murrayville and Lamar and Jannie Underwood of Dahlonega, daughter in law, Jean Underwood of Gainesville, Grandchildren, Jennifer Underwood of Suwanee, Jeff and Cindy Underwood of Dahlonega, Rodney and Tammy Underwood of Huntington, W.VA, Jonathon and Samantha Underwood of Cleveland, Phillip and Melissa Underwood of Dahlonega, Anita Underwood of Ellijay. Great grandchildren, Samuel and Mary Ann Underwood, Maggie Underwood, Addison Underwood, Avery and Blake Underwood, Drew and Sarah Herrington and Anna Greer.
