Mary Julia Poole Black Patterson

Mrs. Mary Julia Poole Black Patterson, age 89 of 27 Hilltop Lane, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Ernest William and Odis Ward Poole, she was born February 21, 1925 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived for a number of years in Atlanta but most of her life in Toccoa. She was retired from Alcan Cable Corporation and a member of Collins Road Baptist Church. She was twice married, first to Grady Black and second to Willard Patterson.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and John Epps of Ballground, Georgia; son, Tony Patterson of Toccoa, Georgia; six grandchildren, Deanna Taylor, Ginny Gailey, Michelle Jones, Bobby Epps, Dwayne Epps and Merissa Epps; four great-grandchildren; sister, Nettie Mae Lyles of Toccoa, Georgia.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 12, 2014, 11 O'clock AM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Phil Burgess and the Reverend Dr. Jack Segars officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Joe Gailey, Austin Jones, Dwayne Epps, Bobby Epps and Roger Loggins.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Julia Poole Black Patterson.
