Edward 'Harold' Glover

Edward "Harold' Glover, age 82 entered Beulah Land on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Carolene Coffey Glover and his parents, Rev. John D. Glover and Emma Lorene Glover.

Harold was a member of First Redeemer Church. He and Carolene were two of the founding members of the Forsyth County Volunteer Fire Department. Together, they were also foster parents to over 65 children in their 16 years of service.

He was a member of Lafayette Lodge #44 F@AM and the Cumming Shrine Club. He was also a long time member of the Forsyth County Lions Club and had also served on the Forsyth County School Board.

Survivors include his children, Danny and Judy Glover, David and Janet Glover and Joan and Jackie Jennings. Brother and sister in law, Donald and Kathryn Glover. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan and Theresa Glover, Danielle and David Bird, Janet and Phil Higgins, Jessica and Nathan McCord, John Glover, Justin and Casie Jennings, Jennifer Crump and Bobby Harkins.

Great grandchildren, Emma and Lilly Glover, Christian Woodall, Christian and Dalton Bird, Allie Crump, Caroline Higgins, Charleigh Higgins, Caitlyn Higgins, Malli Jennings, Jace Jennings and Avery McCord.

Foster children, Jamey Crawford and Tina Crawford, special friend, Francis Eaton and his canine best friend, Buddy Jennings

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. The reverends Jeff Jackson, Mike Schmid, Bud Sutton and Gary Coffey officiating. Internment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4pm to 9pm and on Friday from 9am to 2pm and also 4pm to 9pm.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to, Project Walk Atlanta at 1755 Grassland PKWY Suite B, Alpharetta, GA 30004.
