Katherine Ladd

Katherine Ladd, age 81 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Bell Minor Home following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Jimmy Hope will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ladd was born September 26, 1932 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Cornelius "Neal" Crowe and Missouri Carter Crowe. She was a lifetime resident of Hall County and attended Corinth Baptist Church. Katherine was the Office Manager for Georgia Office Equipment Company from high school to retirement and was active in The Secretaries Association of Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, H. Clay Ladd, her brothers, Ed Crowe, Fred Crowe and Elmo Crowe and her sisters, Verdell Taylor Moore, Bernice Presley, Ruby Hatcher and Olive Tankersley.


Mrs. Ladd is survived by her sister, Geraldine Jones of Gainesville, sisters-in-law, Azilee Frederick and Bernice Crowe, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Lawton & Betty Ladd, nephews, Jim & Maggie Taylor, Darrell & Jean Crowe, Mike & Lillian Tankersley, Ron & Brenda Tankersley, John & Lynn Tankersley, Gary & Linda Crowe, Jack & Joyce Skinner, Fletcher Crowe, Donald Crowe and Fred Crowe and her nieces, Barbara Little, Donna Johnson, Judy & Jimmy Hope, Sandra Kiser, Beverly & Mike Hulsey, Helen & Marvin Peek, Betty Jo Wilson and Vera & Doyle Land.
