Mildred Virgie Hudgins Rich

Mildred Virgie Hudgins Rich, age 86 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at her residence following a sudden illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Jimmy Hudson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.


Mrs. Rich was born April 27, 1927 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Elmer Hudgins and Myrtis Brownlow Hudgins. She was retired from Big Star Grocery and was a member of Free Methodist Church. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph H. Rich, her sisters, Geneva Lowe and Louise Shelton and her brothers, Romeo Hudgins and John Hudgins.


Mrs. Rich is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Ricky & Sheri Rich of Gainesville, granddaughter & husband, Tammy & Mark Halloran of Gainesville, step-granddaughters, Miranda & Lauren Brooks, great-grandchildren, Gabe, Dylan and Lilly Halloran and sister, Lillian Hudgins of Gainesville.
