Edith "Pearl" Anderson Reed

Edith "Pearl" Anderson Reed, age 94 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Robert Kersh will officiate. The family will receive friends on April 9, 2014 from 2 - 3 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.


Mrs. Reed was born February 17, 1920 in Cleveland, Georgia to the late George Washington Anderson and Nora Bell Farmer Anderson. She retired from Jesse Jewell Poultry and was a member of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church. All through her childhood days, Pearl's step-mother was very close and dear to her. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Mae Brewer Anderson, her husband, Taylor Reed, her brothers, J. R. Anderson & Billy B. Anderson and her sister, Betty Anderson Thompson.


Mrs. Reed is survived by her brothers, Robert N. Anderson of Jacksonville, Florida and Boyd M. Anderson of Clarkesville, Georgia.
