Charles Rudez Nix

Mr. Charles Rudez Nix, age 77 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Willowood Nursing Home following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Levi Nix will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 4 -8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Nix was born November 19, 1936 in Cleveland, Georgia to the late Frank Nix and Ethel Allen Nix. He was retired from Coca Cola as a Salesman and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ruth Colbert Nix.

Mr. Nix is survived by his son, Bill Nix of Gainesville, son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Denise Nix of Cleveland, grandchildren, Nikki Nix, Jessica Satterfield and Levi Nix and 5 great-grandchildren.
