George Willard

Mr. George Willard, age 93 of Chicopee, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at his residence following a sudden illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Phil Carpenter will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Willard was born December 4, 1920 in Cumming, Georgia to the late George Willard and Minnie Williams Willard. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Chicopee Mill as a Weaver. George was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church.

Mr. Willard is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Brenda & Daniel Michael of Lilburn, granddaughter & husband, Amber & Fred McConnel of Sandy Springs, Georgia and his sister, Geneva Martin Hammond of Cumming.
