Richard Theodore Holland Sr.

Alexander Funeral Home announces the death of Richard Theodore Holland Sr. age 66 of Helen. Mr. Holland passed away Friday, April 3, 2014.

Richard was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 22, 1948 to the late Warner P. Holland and Teresa McCord Holland.He served in the United States Army before becoming a Para Professional with the Fulton County Board of Education.In 2000, he and his family moved from Atlanta, where they had lived many years to White County, settling in Helen. Richard loved his God and his family, those who knew him will remember his bright outlook and courageous attitude even in the midst of his sickness.

He is survived by his wife, Eugenia Holland of Helen; son, Richard Theodore "Ricky" Holland Jr of Helen; sisters Cheryl Holland of Maryville TN, and Rebecca Wood of Dayton, NV.

A memorial funeral Mass is sheduled for 3:00pm, Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from St. Mark Catholic Church, 5410 Hwy 197 South, Clarkesville, GA. 30523 with Rev. Jose Luis Hernandez Ayala officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 3pm
