Olive Ruth Allen

Mrs. Olive Ruth Allen, age 83 of Commerce died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, GA. Mrs. Allen was born in Luxor, PA to the late, Joseph and Emma Garris Beacon. Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was also preceded in death by her husband, Elliott P. Allen.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jackie Allen of Commerce, Ronald and Jane Allen of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and Vernon Collins of Evans, Carol Sue and James Clark of Groveland, FL; brothers, Harry and Robert Beacon both of Luxor, PA; sister, Jeannie Carr of Luxor, PA; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 5 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Mobley officiating with the interment following at Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 5-7 PM.
