Brenda "Flip" Scott

Brenda "Flip" Scott, 56, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday March 30, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness.

Born January 27, 1958 in East Liverpool, Ohio, she had lived in this area for the past 26 years. Flip was a department manager at Wal-Mart in Cumming for 26 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who possessed a beautiful loving smile. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Leonard O'Hanlon; grandson, Kenny Stewart; and a sister, Nancy O'Hanlon.

Surviving are her children, Chris and Leann Miles, Oakwood, Sarah Miles, Newton, AL, Anna Miles, Dawsonville; eight grandchildren; her companion, Juan Ramirez; mother, Janet O'Hanlon, East Liverpool, OH; sister, Sue O'Hanlon, Cumming; and brothers, Mike O'Hanlon, Oakwood, Lenny O'Hanlon, Pennsylvania.

Memorial services will be held Thursday April 3, 2014 at 5 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Tim Bennett will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the service hour.
