Edna Ruth Parrott Talton

Edna Ruth Parrott Talton, age 94 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at New Horizon's Limestone Nursing Home following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Dave Channel will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Ms. Talton was born July 2, 1919 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia to the late William Joshua Parrott and Mamie Estelle Benton. She was retired from Woolworth Store with 40 years of service and was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church in Greensboro, Georgia.

Ms. Talton is survived by her daughter, Barbara Talton of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Brenda & Ralph Crisler of Gainesville, son & daughter-in-law, Billy & Rhonda Talton of Gainesville, son, Bennie H. Talton, Jr. of Anniston, Alabama, grandchildren, Michelle & Broderick Crawford, Michael Talton, Derrick Talton, Scott Irvin, Stacie & Brandon Pierce and Chris & Shelly Talton, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 niece.
