Mildred Brown Gathright

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Mildred Brown Gathright, age 77 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Thursday, March 27, 2014. Mrs. Gathright was born in Jefferson, Georgia, the daughter of the late Foster and Jessie Mae Hardman Brown, was retired from Wayne Farms with over 30 years of service and was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gathright is preceded by her husband Harvey Gathright Jr., sisters, Addie Bell Jackson, Virginia Daniels, Willie Mae Rucker and Mittie Ree Brown and a brother, John Brown.

Survivors include one son, Douglas Gathright of Jefferson, Nephew, Tim Norwood of Hoschton. Sisters, Florine Griffeth of Jefferson, Bessie T. McIntosh of Gainesville, brother, James Franklin Brown of Gainesville, God Daughter Daphne Watson of Jefferson, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and close friend Mary Hunter of Jefferson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 29 from the Jones Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Patman and Reverend Theodore Braswell officiating with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Saturday March 27, 2014 10:00 AM
