Glover Morgan

Rev. Glover Morgan, age 76, Alto, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the residence following an extended illness.

Rev. Glover was born on February 4, 1938 in Hayesville, North Carolina to the late Ray M. and Amanda Kilby Morgan. He was also preceded in death by a son, John Daniel Morgan; brothers, Tom Morgan, Vincent Morgan, Ben Morgan, George Morgan, Joe Morgan; sisters, Mary Katherine Morgan, Rebecca Morgan, and infant Morgan. Rev. Morgan was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church. He was an evangelist and owner of Glover's Saw Shop.

Survivors include his wife, Opal Morgan, Alto, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, James and Cheron Morgan, Alto, Georgia; sister, Ruth Strickland, Sharpsburg, Georgia; grandchildren, James Levi Morgan, Autumn Parker, Summer Morgan, Johna Danielle Morgan; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Johnny Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
