Mr. William Bryant Hodges, age 83 of 364 Pinetree Court, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at his residence.
A son of the late Norman and Mamie Paramore Hodges, he was born January 20, 1931 in Washington, North Carolina where he lived for 32 years and had lived in Toccoa for the last five years. He was a U.S. Army/Air Force Korean War Veteran, retired from Singer Furniture Company in Washington, North Carolina and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Evelyn Hubbard Hodges; daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Ned Elderdge of High Point, North Carolina; three sons, John Hodges and Timmy Hodges both of Greensboro, North Carolina and Michael Hodges of High Point, North Carolina; two step-daughters, Anita (Tom) Bennett of Orchard Hill, Georgia and Elaine (Donnie) Gordy of Toccoa, Georgia; step-son, Morris Segars of Toccoa, Georgia; number of grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Faye Hodges of Chocowinity, North Carolina.
The family will be at the home on Pinetree Court and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 PM to 8 PM.
The family will also receive friends at the Paul Funeral Home, Washington, North Carolina on Friday, March 28 from 6 PM to 8 PM.
Graveside service will be Saturday, March 29, 2 PM in Washington, North Carolina.
