Merrel Banner

Mr. Merrel Banner, 76, of Hoschton, GA passed away on March 25, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Maggie Banner, and sister, Jocelyn James. He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Martha Jenkins Banner, Hoschton, GA; daughters, Lisa O'Connor, Hoschton, GA, Maria and Alan Cleveland, Suwanee, GA, Sonja and Jim Bullard, Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Weston and Walker Cleveland, Kennedy and Griffin Bramer, Brad, Ben and Baileigh Bullard; sister, Phyllis Rader, Huntsville, AL; brother, Thomas Alvin and Lois Ann Banner, Dinwiddie, VA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stewart and Betty Jo Martin, Buford, GA; nieces and nephews. Mr. Banner was born January 11, 1938 in Erwin, TN. He was a 1955 graduate of Erwin High School. He attended East Tennessee State College and Mercer University. He worked for Dittler Brothers for seventeen years in Atlanta. He was owner of Alpha Graphs in Tucker and Norcross. He attended Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church in Dacula, GA.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, Dacula, GA with Dr. Jason Mincey officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halcyon Hospice in memory of Merrel Banner.
