Zelbert 'Zeb' Franklin Palmer

Mr. Zelbert "Zeb" Franklin Palmer, age 81 of Sautee, passed away on March 24, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Palmer was born in Cleveland, GA to the late Henderson and Martha Fields Palmer on July 1, 1932. He served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Palmer received a degree in forestry from the University of Georgia and was retired from the U. S. Forest Service as a Wildlife Biologist. He also served as the director of White County Parks and Recreation. Mr. Palmer was a member of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church and was a Master Mason.



Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife, Joann Satterfield Palmer; daughter and son in law, Pam and Roy Burns; son and daughter in law, Gary and Tobey Palmer; daughter, Cindy Palmer; sister and brother in law, Carolyn and Gene Boggs; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.





The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 5 until 9 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 2 PM with the Rev. Doug Merck officiating.
