Judy Cook Ivey

Judy Cook Ivey, age 64 of Pendergrass, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Hopewell Baptist Church with interment to follow in Belmont Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Bill Compton and Reverend Lowell Whitmire will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ivey was born February 8, 1950 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Benjamin Cook and Mary Ertzberger Cook. She was retired from Renaissance Hotel and was of the Baptist Faith. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Muriel Kellogg and her brother, Jimmy Cook.

Mrs. Ivey is survived by her husband of 44 years, Darrell Broadus Ivey of Pendergrass, her daughters & sons-in-law, Kelly & Greg Barton of Gainesville and Lori & Gabriel Watson of Blairsville, Georgia, son & daughter-in-law, Jay & Crissy Ivey of Gainesville, grandchildren, Ivy & Natalie Barton, Reid, Savana & Jerin Watson and Gage Ivey, sisters & brothers-in-law, Marie & Bill Froeliger of Flowery Branch, Barbara & Gerald Caston of Gainesville, Janie & Carlton Whitlow of Gainesville and Mary & Ricky Croy of Gillsville, sister, Rosa Boster of Oakwood, brother & sister-in-law, Benny & Susie Cook of Gainesville.
