Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday March 21, 2014 in Wards Funeral Home Chapel for Timothy "Timmy" James Meeks, 51. of Gainesville. The Rev. Jeff Worley will officiate. Interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Meeks passed away March 15, 2014.
A native of Hall County, Mr. Meeks was preceded in death by his father, Morgan Phillip Meeks and brothers Melvin, Douglas and Tony Meeks. Timmy and his wife, Bo were married for 32 years before both going home to the Lord on the same day.
Survivors include son, Adam Meeks, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-laws, Amber and Andy Dean, Gainesville, Cheyenne Meeks and Jay Early, Gainesville, April and Frankie Roper, Jr., Maysville; mother, Bobbie Evans Meeks, Gainesville; sisters, Kathy Stephens, Patti Nash, Cleveland, Angie PettyJohn, Talmo; brother, Freddie "Butter" Meeks, Blairsville; granchildren, Kolby Roper, Frankie "Bubba" Roper, III, Kayley Roper, Donavin Meeks and Cason Dean.
