Herman Ray Emmett Sr.,

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Herman Ray Emmett Sr., age 78, of Commerce, who passed away on Sunday March 16th, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Emmett was the son of the late Jesse and Alma Morris Emmett. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Jane Crane Emmett, of the home; son, Herman (Melissa) Ray Emmett Jr., of Braselton; daughters, Peggy (Mike) Jane Herrington of Lawrenceville, Nance (Dave) Elaine Guetter of Commerce, and Brenda Ann Crumley of Commerce; grandchildren, Jason Thomas Herrington, Matthew Lee Still, Jesse Crumley, Aubree Crumley, Kristie Nicole Emmett, and Aaron Ray Emmett; and great grandchildren, Wesley Thomas Herrington and Avery Rae Swaim.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday March 18th, 2014 from 4 PM until 8 PM. Services will be held at Harmony Christian Church on Wednesday March 19th, 2014 at 1 PM with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. Interment will follow the service at East Shadow Lawn Cemetery in Lawrenceville.
