Rosemary Morris Whidby

Rosemary Morris Whidby, age 78 of Gainesville, passed away on March 15, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Chapel of Memorial Park with the Rev. Marshall Dale officiating, with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.­ The family will receive friends on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 6 - 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Whidby was born on February 6, 1936 in Hot Spring Arkansas to the late Jerry Barbee and Margaret Lecroy Morris. She was retired from Stouffer Pine Isle Resort and attended Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Mrs. Whidby served in the U.S. Navy.

Mrs. Whidby is survived by her daughter, Mary Whidby of Gainesville, sons, Clell Whidby of Gainesville, and Michael Whidby of Gainesville, granddaughter, Reva Figueroa of Decatur, grandsons, Justin McGuire of Gainesville, Joseph Ewing of Commerce, Aaron Whidby of Gainesville, granddaughter Lindsay Whidby of Gainesville, 5 great granddaughters, sister Carolyn Ann Morris of Searcy, Arkansas, brother, Brad Morris of Searcy, Arkansas, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
