Robert Edward Crunkleton

Robert Edward Crunkleton, 82, of Clayton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.



He was born in Rabun County and was the son of the late David Thomas Crunkleton and Maude McClain Crunkleton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, William "Bill" Crunkleton, Thomas M. Crunkleton, and George Franklin Crunkleton; and by four sisters Luna Mae Crunkleton, Lula Christina Crunkleton, Lola Marie Sneed and Cloe Ramey.



Mr. Crunkleton is survived by one son, Robert Thomas Crunkleton of Atlanta, GA, one daughter, Patricia Lynne Crunkleton Menard of Ormond Beach, FL; three sisters, Laura Corean Debord of Candler, NC, Lois Inez Scroggs of Candler, NC, and Lucy Hudson of Loganville, GA. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Amanda Coker and Michelle Kupronis, and two great-grandchildren.



He was a veteran of the Korean War having proudly served his country in the US Army. He was retired from United Parcel Service.



The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home Friday, March 14, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Hunnicutt officiating. Burial will follow in Crunkleton Cemetery.
