Hazel Gwendolyn Pritchett Simmons

Hazel Gwendolyn Pritchett Simmons 82 of Homer died March 9, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Blanche Chambers Pritchett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Simmons, her brother, Swayne Pritchett and her grandson, Paul Simmons. She was a member of Homer Baptist Church and she retired from blue Bell Inc. in 1994 after 34 years of service. She was a homemaker and loved gardening.

Survivors include son and daughter in law Tony and Donna Simmons, daughter and son in law Bonnie and Obie Faulkner, Cheryl and Terry O'Kelley, daughter Heather Simmons, Grandchildren Scott, Chad, Howard, Brandee, Heather along with 6 great grandchildren, many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 PM from the Homer Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Crabbe officiating with burial in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
