Caney Martin Robinson, Jr.

Caney Martin Robinson, Jr., (affectionately known as Martin) 70, of Clayton, GA passed away at his residence Thursday, March 6, 2014. He was born in Rabun County and was the son of the late Caney Martin Robinson, Sr. and Lola Baker Robinson.



He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Stockton Robinson of the home; one son, Randy Robinson of Clayton; one daughter, Rhonda Robinson Carpenter and her husband Darryl of Clayton; three sisters, Louellen Love of Mountain City, GA, Ann Moss of Clayton, GA, and Jean Lee of Alabama. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Caney Carpenter and Candace Mathis and one great-grandchild, Emberlynn Mathis.



Martin was a self-employed rock mason and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was president of the North Georgia Coonhunters Association. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family and his friends meant a great deal to him.



The family will receive friends from 7 PM to 9 PM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Beck Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 4 PM on Sunday March 9, 2014 in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Oliver Rice and Rev. Mickey Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Grove Cemetery.
