John Wayne Allen

John Wayne Allen, age 67, of Sparta passed away Friday, February 28, 2014. John loved God and his family. He owned a company that consisted of heavy equipment. His hobbies were fishing, being outdoors and flowers. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Linda; sons Jeffery Wayne Allen and Amy of Winder, Jonathan Wayne Allen and wife Beth of Braselton; daughters Gail Miracle and husband Artie of TN, Rhonda Nell Barrett and husband Randy of Winder, Cindy Murry of TX and Tonya McCabe and husband Shawn of Hoschton, brother Tony Allen and wife Sheila of Statham, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Alan McCoy will be officiating. Interment will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, Hwy 124, Buford, GA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, March 6, 2014 and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, March 7, 2014 at the funeral home.
