Greg Baker, age 53 of Suwanee GA died March 3rd, 2014 after a two-year battle with brain cancer. Born in Washington D.C., Greg lived most of his life in the Atlanta area. His wife, Jennifer and two children David and Anna survive him. He is also survived by his mother, Sarah Baker, niece and spouse, Lindsey and Daniel Server, nephew and spouse, Evan and Donna Seitz, brother in law and spouse, Steve and Pami Guthrie. Other surviving family members include: John and Ellen Massey, John and Dana Massey Jr. and Payton and Connor Massey. His father, Louie Baker and sister, Debbie Guthrie, precede him in death. After graduating from Mars Hill University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Greg pursued a career in sales. His early career was spent as a Manufacturer's Representative with Dynaric, Inc. In 2000, he transitioned into sales and consulting in technology services. He worked for various companies in Atlanta, but was fortunate to be working with wonderful colleagues at iVision, Inc. until he became ill in 2012.
Greg was a passionate and gregarious man with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved his family, his church and his work but most of all, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Greg enjoyed reading C.S. Lewis, Bonheoffer and Spurgeon. He loved traveling and making memories with his children. He enjoyed having lunch or coffee with friends or soon to be friends and could sit for hours discussing life and faith. Greg was active in many serving capacities at Perimeter Church and as a board member of Bethany Christian Services. Greg's smile, laughter and engaging conversation will be missed. We will celebrate his life on Monday March 10, 2014 at Perimeter Church, 9500 Medlock Bridge Rd in Johns Creek. Services will be held in the Main Auditorium with a reception following in the Ministry Center.
