Charles C. 'Chuck' Parris

Charles C. "Chuck" Parris, age 75 of Buford, GA, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 after an extended illness.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Buford. Rev. Danny Newbern will officiate.

Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Mr. Parris was preceded in death by his Wife, Blanche Parris and Brother, Norman Parris.

He is survived by his Daughter, Sara Parris, Buford. Son, Charles R. Parris, Buford. Grandson, Marshall Parris, Ballground, GA. Brothers, Furman Foy Parris, Laurens, SC, Herman Troy Parris and Wife Guyma, Hendersonville, NC, and Doug Parris and Wife Linnette, Hendersonville, NC. Sisters, Joyce Holden, Laurens, SC, Mildred Hudson and Husband Bill, Mountain Home, NC, and Lois Hattfield, Hendersonville, NC.

Mr. Parris was born in Hendersonville, NC and had lived in the Atlanta area for the past 27 years. He was a retired machinist, a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a Deacon Emeritus and former Deacon Chairman at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Buford.
