Daisy Lorette Ivester Stonecypher

Funeral services for Daisy Lorette Ivester Stonecypher, age 102 of Clarkesville will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 1, 2014 from the Hills Crossing Baptist Church. Rev. Walter Singletary and Linda Harris will officiate with interment to follow the service in the church cemetery.




Mrs. Stonecypher died Wednesday, February 26, 2014.




Born in Habersham County on August 28, 1911, Mrs. Stonecypher was the daughter of the late Judge "Bud" Henry and Fannie Franklin Ivester. Mrs. Stonecypher was the oldest member of Hills Crossing Baptist Church and she was the last member of her immediate family. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents Mrs. Stonecypher is preceded in death by her husband, Cline Stonecypher, brothers Dan, Pink, and Otis Ivester, sisters Sally Benfield, Lizzie Lacy, Ethel Littleton, and Irene Grant, grandson Mike Reed, and great granddaughter Lauren Howard.




Survivors include daughter Edith Gailey of Alto, grandchildren Angie Irvin, Dean Smith, Tammy Poole, and Kim Hulsey as well as 13 great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren.




The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 28, 20124 from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM.
