Stewart Darnell Evans

Mr. Stewart Darnell Evans, age 91, of Commerce, GA died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Evans was born in Royston, GA to the late Claude and Renie Hart Evans. He was a United States Army Veteran and was retired from Harmony Grove Mills. In addition to his parents, Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Smith Evans.

Mr. Evans is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Charles Denton of Commerce; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Rita Evans all of Commerce; four grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, February 23 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 to 8 PM.
