Edna Louise Carter

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Edna Louise Carter, age 85, of Commerce who passed away on Tuesday February 18th, 2014. Ms. Carter was the daughter of the late Rubbard and Ellie Hix Dixon. In addition to her parents, Ms. Carter was also preceded in death by her son Ricky Carter. She is survived by her daughters, Sheryl C. Howard and Shawana C. Pope, both of Commerce; sister, Myrtice Starnes of Greer, S.C.; grandchildren, Kip Cowart, Johnna Kitchens, Heather Pope and Jamayka Pope; great grandchild Josee Crumley; and great great grandchildren, Kelbi Dewitt, Aiden Dewitt, and Bentley Spikes. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 19th, 2014 from 6 PM until 9 PM. Services will be held Thursday, February 20th, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. Rev. David Harbin and Rev. Eddie Gordon will be officiating.
