Emory William Collins

Mr. Emory William Collins, Sr. age 85 of 4044 Williams Bridge Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Regency Hospital of Greenville.

A son of the late Nolin and Irene Stephens Collins, he was born May 12, 1928 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived in Stephens and Franklin Counties all his life. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps having served during the Korean War, was a retired Truck Driver and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Arlette Ululani Pokipala and by his second wife Florence Collins in 2013.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mikilani M. Nihipali and husband Gary of Hawaii; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott K. Collins, Sr. and wife Rhona and Emory W. Collins, Jr. both of Hawaii; grandchildren, Wyllie "Duke" Lum, Wendy Ann Maile Lum-Scott and husband, Kimo Scott, Lahela Mikilani-Punahele Nihipali, Summer Collins, Samantha Collins, Courtnee Collins and Scott K. Collins, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jordan Kanemaikalani Lum-Farrell and James Kalenalaakealani Lum-Scott; brother, Henry Curtis Collins of Toccoa, Georgia.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 20, 2 O'clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Joey Stewart officiating.

The family will be at the home of Curtis Collins, Vickery Road, Toccoa, Georgia and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 PM to 8 PM.
