Evelyn Dewberry Whiting Nichols

Evelyn Dewberry Whiting Nichols, age 90, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J. C. Whiting; and sons, Robert Whiting and Jerry Whiting. She is survived by her husband of six years, Wayne Nichols, Sugar Hill, GA; children, James Whiting and fiancée, Evelyn Landers, Temple, GA and Brenda and Morris Reynolds, Talmo, GA; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Lou Dewberry, Jeffersonville, IN and Helen and Ronnie Bozeman, Nashville, TN; brothers, Jack Dewberry, Charlotte, NC, Daniel Dewberry, Seattle, WA and Tommy Dewberry, Jeffersonville, IN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Nichols was born June 15, 1923 in Atlanta, GA. She was a retired Director of Gwinnett Headstart Program. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Mauldin officiating. Interment will follow at Old Suwanee Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
