Tom Braswell

Mr. Tom Braswell, age 87, of Auburn, GA, formerly of Buford, GA, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Guyendlee Daniel Braswell; parents, Virgil and Bertie Lee Moore Braswell; sister, Virginia B. Justice; brothers Kelly Braswell, Dean Braswell and Allen Braswell. He is survived by his daughter, Julia and Dewitt Cook, Auburn, GA; grandchildren, Brandy and Hubert Day, Bethlehem, GA, Stephanie and Gene Raab, Bethlehem, GA, Colter and Angela Cook, Auburn, GA; seven great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; brother, Vanus and Helen D. Braswell, Jefferson, GA; sisters-in-law, Bernice Braswell, Buford, GA, Violet Jean Braswell, Lawrenceville, GA; brothers-in-law, Reese Daniel, Commerce, GA, Bobby Daniel, Commerce, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Braswell was born December 20, 1926 in Buford, GA. He was a retired painter from Suwanee Lumber Company, he did farming and he also worked on boats at Holiday Marina. He was a long-time member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Rock Springs United Methodist Church, 1100 Rock Springs Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. The remains will be placed instate at the church from12:00 noon, prior to the service with Rev. Tommy Braswell and Rev. Shari Rates officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 12:00 noon until time of service.
